How are Verification Services paid for?

Scantek now provides two payment options:

  1. You (our Client) can pay via EFT as per their agreement terms and conditions; OR
  2. Your End Customers can pay Scantek directly by card or bank account as part of the verification process

See How to request end customer payment for more information.

How much does a verification cost?

The payment amount is set as part of Scantek's service agreement with the organisation requesting the verification.  The fee is inclusive of GST.

Who notifies the End Customer that Scantek will be collecting payment for Verification Services?

When you choose that your End Customer will pay Scantek directly, it is your responsibility to ensure that they are aware they will be asked to pay for the verification as part of the process.

See the Terms the End Customer will be asked to accept during the verification process.

What happens if the End Customer makes a mistake when providing identity information?

We will work with you to ensure that the verification is successfully completed at no extra charge to the customer.

If the End Customer only makes one error that prevents you from using Scantek’s platform to complete the transaction, this can be corrected at no additional cost to you.

If the End Customer makes more than one error that prevents you from completing the transaction and requires information to be re-submitted, Scantek may charge another Fee.  You may choose if that fee is invoiced to yourself or if the End Customer will be asked to pay it.

What happens if the End Customer doesn’t pay for any reason?

You are responsible for any unpaid fees such as where payment collection systems are unavailable or payment by the End Customer is reversed.

Who does Scantek provide our Verification Services to?

Scantek provides Verification Services to the Client regardless of whether they or their End Customer pay the fee.
