New features

MFA codes via SMS or email

We're improving our multi-factor authentication experience by letting clients choose if they want to receive login verification codes via a mobile phone number or an email address.  This choice will be enabled at an account level for all users of that account. It will be progressively rolled out and we'll let you know when it's time for you to change.

Improvements

VOI Subjects

  • Maintenance improvements to the document cut service for better classification and OCR results
Management Portal
  • For increased privacy and security we've now blocked the ability to Save sensitive images using browser functionality from within the portal.  In addition, if the Print function is used from the browser, then images are redacted in the printout.

Fixes

The following issues have been resolved:

VOI Subjects
  • An invalid character string on an Australian passport number was able to be entered
  • Black screen capture was occurring on late model iPhone when subject set the phone down with the viewfinder running
  • Users of iPhone 14 pro who had a setting in place to view websites in desktop mode would have a poor capture experience with poor quality OCR results.
  • Medicare Cards were being incorrectly handled by the system during the capture process resulting in incorrect information being displayed in the portal

Management Portal

  • The VOI communications history in the Transaction details screen was incorrectly displaying the completion notification

Venue Entry new features

Venue Entry mobile app

Great news for venues needing to scan IDs quicker - two new settings are now available in the mobile scanning app that give greater control over how fast your ID scanning process can go.  Door staff can choose the balance of speed over accuracy, as well as whether to automatically progress to the next scan once the previous scan is actioned.  Find out how to enable and use these settings in our article Settings to help venues scan IDs quicker

Audit logs available on patron scan activity

Venue Managers now have Audit information available against each scan transaction to help review the scan activity for that patron.  This information is available by clicking on a scanned patron (from the tile or list view) and selecting the Events option from the Patron details.

  • The audit trail for ban activity will be coming in a future release
  • A detailed audit trail for all venue activity can now be accessed from the menu in the top right corner of the portal.

Venue Entry improvements

  • Now Venue Managers can ban a patron directly from the Patron detail page (when the patron tile/item is selected) to help you get things done more efficiently
  • Write as much as you need in the ban notes with an increased character limit of 5,000 characters
  • For improved privacy and security, we've now blocked the ability to Save sensitive images from within the portal.  In addition, if the Print function (Ctrl P) is used from the browser, then images are redacted in the printout.

Venue Entry fixes

The following issues have been resolved:

  • Zoom on patron photo in ban creation screen was not working
  • A ban duration would increase by one day each time the ban was edited
  • When a ban was created the last updated time for the scan was displayed instead of the ban created time
  • Synchronising the bans for clients with our legacy Nightlife product was intermittently unavailable
