Settings to help venues scan IDs quicker

Getting patrons through the door on a busy night is a priority. There are settings in the Venue Entry Mobile App that can help venues tailor the ID verification process to their needs.

Balance speed with accuracy

Automatically go to the next scan

Balance speed with accuracy

Our system automatically reads the text on an ID and populates this into the patron details.  You can adjust how fast the scans are done by changing the accuracy level.  In other words, the faster you want to scan, the less accurate the captured text may be.

Patron details can be manually edited at a later stage if needed.

How to use this setting

  • Open Settings on the Venue Entry Mobile App
  • Choose Show capture slider
  • Exit Settings by dragging down on the window
  • Click Scan
  • You will now see the slider to the right of the scanning frames
  • Choose from three different modes:
    • Better:  This is our strictest setting that will prevent blurry images from capturing but it may take longer to capture
    • Middle:  This is our default setting which balances quality with speed
    • Faster:  This is our easiest setting with relaxed thresholds designed for quick capture but the images may come through blurry and the text may not be read.
  • The setting you choose with the slider will remain in place for subsequent scans

Automatically go to the next scan
