How does Scantek protect my personal information?

At Scantek we design and build solutions that safeguard your most valuable asset, your identity. It is our responsibility to ensure that all the information shared with us is safe and secure at all times.

How we protect data

  • All personal information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and complying with The Privacy Act 1988, the ACC Act 2002, the Australian Privacy Principles and all relevant registered APP codes.
  • We remove all manual handling of data. No humans see your data except for you and the organisation requesting your information. 
  • We are ISO 27001 compliant. This accreditation means we comply with an international standard for implementing enterprise-wide Information Security Management System (ISMS). This is an organised approach to maintaining confidentiality, integrity and availability (CIA) within our business. 
  • We use Australian-only data centres. All captured data stays inside Australia within Australian data centres.
  • All communication is encrypted during transit, and all data stored is encrypted at rest, further decreasing the chance of a data breach. 
  • Our Software and cloud solutions have passed formal testing and validation on personal, company and technical integrity
    • All systems and servers operating as part of the Scantek Cloud use a combination of vulnerability scanning, intrusion prevention and detection software to further limit unauthorised access.
