      What documentation do I need to verify my identity?

      ID needed will vary based on why you have been asked to verify your identity

      The number and type of documents that Scantek systems request vary based on why you are verifying your identity. If you do not have the minimum ID required, please contact the organisation that has asked you to verify your identity for assistance. 

      Our 'defaults' include: 

       

      Conveyancing 

      Choose any of the following categories: 

      1. Passport (Australian or International) and:
        1. Australian Drivers' Licence
      2. Passport (Australian or International) and: 
        1. Australian Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate or Registration by Descent Certificate and
        2. Medicare Card or Centrelink Card or Veteran's Card 
      3. Australian Drivers' Licence and: 
        1. Australian Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate or Registration by Descent Certificate and:
        2. Medicare Card or Centrelink Card or Veteran's Card 

       

      Scantek's conveyancing solution is designed to checks IDs against Australian Government databases. As a result: 

      • Australian citizens residing overseas - must verify their identity using Australian-issued identity documents such as an Australian Passport, Australian Drivers' Licence and/or birth certificate. 
      • International passport holders residing outside of Australia - we can only verify your identity if you have at least one Australian Government issued ID, such as an Australian Drivers' Licence or an Australian Citizenship Certificate. 
      • Statutory declaration - our platform does not support identity verification via statutory declaration. Please contact your conveyancer for further information if you do not have sufficient documentation to complete
